Inspiration
Our inspiration for the project was the current pandemic and other sicknesses around the world. We wanted a way to let people know what condition they have depending on what symptoms they check off, and a way to treat that as well.
What it does
The Diagnostician lets the user pick their symptoms and then it will list up to two possible diagnoses depending on the situation. It will then take to make treatment options depending on the illness you have.
How we built it
We used python to code out projects in repl.it so our entire group could collaborate on it. We also use Tkinter to make the window and checkboxes.
Challenges we ran into
We wished to make an interactive user-interface but didn't have the knowledge to do so. For this reason, we did some research and learned about the tkinter library. We then needed to learn how to use this library for our hack.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of successfully using tkinter to make an interactive user-interface. We are also proud of being able to make a great project while still being all virtual.
What we learned
We learned about how to use the library, tkinter. We also learned about the many helpful features of repl.it when it came to making a collaborative project.
What's next for The Diagnostician
We want to make more sicknesses and treatments available, as well as making the UI more user-friendly.
