I was inspired to explain the COVID-19 pandemic to children in a fun and digestible way. I also wanted to incorporate social issues related to the pandemic such as fighting misinformation and racism. I also wanted to touch upon online learning and how we all need to work together in order to overcome this pandemic.
I want to dedicate this book to the essential workers and everyday heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the frontline healthcare workers, grocery store personnel, cashiers, delivery drivers, custodial staff, teachers, public transportation drivers, and workers in the food service industry.
