Inspiration

Working in a research lab, being able to use the tools learned in class and implement them into my work to analyze and visualize using other tools than graph pad. Analyzing real world data on antibiotic resistant bacteria

What it does

Analyzes phenotypic data gathered by the lab I work in, and determines the correlation between that and susceptibility of S.aureus

How we built it

Using ed step workspace and visual studio to work in multiple places then bring it to my main computer on visual studio.

Challenges we ran into

Merged cells in excel was incredibly tricky to work around since it renames the unmerged cells.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud to have confirmed published interactions between Dapto and membrane fluidity. also something new to know that it still occurs in oritavancin exposed strains.

What we learned

I learned how to deal with merged cells in different ways, as well as how to use different libraries for statistical analysis. as well as how to use python to verify analysis through those statistical methods.

What's next for The connection between phenotypic data and susceptibility

I will be continuing to work on adding data to the set, as well as adding new phenotypic traits to the set and analyze those when they are added.
