The Composter

Inspiration

I was inspired to make this Alexa Skill by my family who grew a successful garden with many varieties of vegetable and flower plants that brightened our home and our community. They could accomplish this through the act of recycling food scraps and making their own compost. I thought by making this Alexa Skill, I can spread the word to others so that they can grow their own gardens and benefit their own communities.

What it does

This Alexa Skill allows users to learn how to compost through a step by step guide. It also allows users to learn about certain ingredients used in compost and how to speed up the composting process. In addition, the Alexa Skill can give users interesting facts about composting.

How I built it

I built this Alexa Skill by using the Alexa Skills Developer Portal, ASK-CLI, and AWS Lambda.
