Our app was created for a "community solutions project." We were faced with the challenge of finding a problem in our community, and coming up with a solution for that problem. However, my group decided not to only focus on one problem, but to attack multiple problems to create an overall improved community. Our app included: -A live-feed of local government meetings. -A current events blog -A community forum to allow community members to share their ideas. -An online poll for people to voice their opinions on issues before the local government votes on it. -Volunteer and career opportunities -Weekly deals from local businesses to promote buying locally. -Alerts for weather and other emergencies will be linked to the app -An environmental blog for tips on protecting the environment -A list of local real-estate
The aspects of our app were based on one main issues we found in our community: a lack of involvement. We then developed our app around the idea that our main goal was to get members of our community more involved. The C.I.A. app fixes multiple problems in the Avonworth community and could do so in many communities in our country.
