Inspiration
Reddit, stack exchange. We wanted to create a fun and interactive website that had a better use of coins to get more professional help.
What it does
It is a website where users can ask and answer questions regarding coding, and receive a special currency for every upvote. They may also purchase premiums using their currency.
How we built it
HTML, CSS, Javascript
Challenges we ran into
We attempted to use Django in replacement of Javascript, and it was a nightmare. We spent over five hours straight trying to debug a single error, working until 1:30 AM.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a decent looking website We learned how to stay up overnight coding nonstop.
What we learned
We gained a much better understanding of Django and Javascript during this hackathon.
What's next for The Coding Community
As mentioned earlier, we coded most of the back-end parts (like the login, registration, etc.) using Django, but we got errors that we spent hours on trying to debug with no success, even with the help of mentors. We hope we will be able to finish the login and registration and link user data.
