Inspiration

I wanted to create a website informing people about the under memorialized Chicago 1919 Race Riot movement that impacted the nation quite a lot.

What it does

It's just a simple HTML/CSS/JS website, nothing special about it.

How we built it

I used HTML/CSS/JS to build this website, and I was thinking of using some Next.js to improve on it.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into a few challenges, and am still working on the code, so I can't be too specific. There were some parts where I had to search through to find some syntax errors, though.

What we learned

I got a little more familiar with the usage of HTML/CSS/JS during this project, though I haven't finished yet.

What's next for the Chicago 1919 Race Riot

This idea could also be used for many other under memorialized movements in US/World history, and by making the website look nice, it could bring more recognition to the said movements.
