Inspiration

My husband would always ask me to write this number down. So, developing a calculator that made it easy to store and recall numbers saved my sanity.

What it does

The main feature is the ability to save and recall figures.

How I built it

By using the Swift programming language and the UIKit framework, the interface and simple API was pretty easy to build.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge was making the binary operation work and display on the results label.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Being able to have something that my family will be able use is fascinating.

What I learned

The biggest lesson that helped me stay with the development was to stop and come back to the problem later. By then, the solution was almost always in my face. You would almost say, "Why didn't I think of that earlier?"

What's next for The-Chalkboard-Calculator

Publishing on the app store would be an amazing feat.
