Inspiration
“The Chair Beside Me” was inspired by the quiet spaces that remain after love is gone — the rooms, the objects, and the echoes of two lives once intertwined. I wanted to capture how grief and tenderness coexist, how memory turns ordinary things like a chair or a teacup into sacred symbols of connection. The story grew from the idea that love doesn’t end with absence; it transforms into presence — invisible, but deeply felt. The Music video blends music with AI visuals, and emotional storytelling to explore that invisible thread between the living and the remembered.
What it does
“The Chair Beside Me” combines original music, cinematic storytelling, and AI-generated visuals to evoke the enduring power of love and memory. The video brings a song to life through emotional visuals — blending past and present, life and afterlife — showing how technology can express deeply human stories. It invites viewers to feel, remember, and reflect on the beauty of connection that time can’t erase.
How we built it
“The Chair Beside Me” was written and produced by me, Shira Wiggles. I wrote the lyrics and brought them to life using Suno AI to perform the original song. The visual world was created and edited with Hailuo AI and ImagineArt, while the animation and cinematic movement were developed using Kling, ImagineArt, and Hailuo AI. Finally, all scenes were assembled, color-graded, and synchronized in CapCut to create a cohesive, emotionally driven music film.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was maintaining emotional continuity between AI-generated scenes. Matching the lighting, character consistency, and camera movement.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud of creating a project where music and AI storytelling truly meet on an emotional level. “The Chair Beside Me” became more than a song — it turned into a cinematic experience about love that transcends time. I’m proud of achieving visual and emotional consistency across multiple AI platforms Most of all, I’m proud that the story moves people, my grandma and mom cried when they watched it — that it feels human, even though it was born through technology.
What we learned
Through this project, I learned how to combine multiple AI tools to tell a cohesive, emotionally resonant story. I discovered the importance of iteration and attention to detail when translating human emotion into AI-generated visuals and animation. Most importantly, I learned that technology can amplify creativity, allowing a deeply personal narrative to reach audiences in ways that feel both cinematic and heartfelt.
What's next for The Chair Beside Me
I am currently composing an entirely romantic album, seen from all its facets. I plan to make music videos.
