Inspiration - I am extremely interested in cryptocurrencies and always wanted to utilize the volatile markets to price other markets.
What it does - It shows you the current price for a candy which is representative of a cryptocurrency.
How I built it - I first began on the front end with html. Then, I began decorating it with css. Then, I introduced more complexity by utilizing jQuery to read current cryptocurrency prices and display it.
Challenges I ran into - My mistake was starting on the frontend instead of the backend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - I am happy that I was able to develop a somewhat 'organized' website with minimal css and html experience. Also, I am proud of the contact section which sends over information to my google spreadsheets.
What we learned - I have learned how to 'create' a DNS. Also, I learned how to publish work on Github.
What's next for The Candy Exchange - Starting the backend by developing an account that can purchase and sell candies.
