Inspiration
Math can be hard to do, and a calculator will help.
What it does
It's a Calculator, so by inputting the math expressions, it will give the answer. Checkout the README.
How we built it
In Rust with Cargo, and compiled to WebAssembly for the web interface, then Javascript calls WebAssembly functions.
Challenges we ran into
Many challenges comes with creating a GUI interface and a web interface. We ran into many errors when trying to compile Rust into WebAssembly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The Calculator is smart enough to parse complicated math expressions with different orders of operations, like multiplication comes with a higher order than addition/subtraction and brackets are of the highest order.
What we learned
Writing programs in Rust, compiling Rust into WebAssembly, and invoking Web Assembly functions in Javascript.
What's next for The Calculator
More builtin functions, supports for variables, better error messages telling the exact location in the input where the syntax is wrong.
