Inspiration
We found inspiration through two given facts: students’ self esteem has been plummeting while we tend to enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. With these two information we can conclude that today's students are struggling to find their sense of accomplishment.
What it does
The Bunch of Question is what it sounds like. There are a bunch of random questions to be answered. User are able to find their sense of accomplishment through the accumilation of points. Obviously there are questions that are easier and more difficult. Easy questions drives them forward and gives them a sense of accomplishment as a reward. Difficult questions drive one’s ambition and help develop a person overall as they learn through the difficulties and mistakes.
How I built it
We built the project through the program Eclipse using the Java language.
Challenges I ran into
I (Linda) had no coding experience and Daniel has limited knowledge on Java. We are both first year hackers and did not know what to do. After deciding what to do, we also ran into bugs and issues that was difficult to solve with our knowledge.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Being able to create this project was a huge accomplishments for us. Regarding individual accomplishments, I (Linda) am proud to be able to gain some knowledge on Java in two hours (print words, while statements, for statements, scanner, string, etc.). Daniel is proud to be able to solve and debug the issues regarding running our program with no help of a mentor.
What I learned
I (Linda) learned the basics of Java while Daniel expanded his learning on Java through debugging.
What's next for The Bunch of Question
Create a database with more questions to be answered. The project itself will also need a location for display in order to visual interest of user (may exist online as a website, or as an application software).
