The Baron Project

Inspiration

The Baron Project was inspired by the desire to explore whether imagination alone could drive an entire cinematic pipeline. As a technical founder with a deep love for cinema, I wanted to demonstrate that films can be created entirely through AI using only prompt engineering. Baron Münchhausen, master of impossible adventures, embodies limitless creativity and became the perfect symbol for this new AI-driven storytelling era.

This project is a trailer that serves as an announcement: we can build a 100% AI-generated film together through prompts.

What it does

The Baron Project showcases how narrative, visuals, voice, and animation can be generated exclusively through AI tools. It functions as:

A proof-of-concept trailer for a fully AI-made film

A creative demonstration for the upcoming streaming platform Vid30.fr

A prototype for a business model supporting prompt engineers

A first step toward establishing AI Cinematography as a new creative industry

How we built it

The trailer was built using several sponsor tools, often in freemium mode, requiring creativity and adaptation:

Dream Machine

DreaminaAI

Kling AI

Freepik

ElevenLabs (still searching for Sir Michael Caine voice. )

Google Cloud for future SaaS deployment

CapCut

All scenes, storyboards, prompts, scripts, and voices were crafted manually through prompt engineering.

Challenges we ran into

Freemium limits that restricted rendering and output quality

Learning multiple AI systems simultaneously

Difficulty achieving the desired tone with ElevenLabs

Ensuring visual and narrative continuity across tools

Very limited time, especially while participating in Startup School

The main challenge was proving that an entire film workflow can be executed through prompts alone.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a functional AI-only trailer workflow

Establishing the foundation for a complete short film

Demonstrating a viable creative path for prompt engineers

Preparing early momentum for the Vid30.fr platform

Participating in Startup School: GenAI Media

Being part of Chroma Awards and grateful for the submission extension

What we learned

Prompt engineering is a cinematic discipline

AI filmmaking requires structure and iteration

Creators need unified tools for production, distribution, and monetization

AI can create new careers and new opportunities

Storytellers become even more powerful with the right tools

What's next for The Baron Project

December: launch of Vid30.fr, the AI streaming platform

March: short film “The Adventure of the Baron of Münchhausen — Prompted” and launch of the SaaS platform

Promotion at festivals and events (Cannes AI programs, VivaTech, French Tech, etc.)

Goal: become a major sponsor of Chroma Awards 2026

Future projects: adapting public-domain books using AI pipelines

Explore collaboration with Google Cloud for infrastructure

Maintain contact with partners and sponsors for future developments
