Inspiration
The B-Side was born from the idea that our past, no matter how buried, has a rhythm and sometimes, it plays back louder than we expect. I wanted to explore the quiet corners of identity, the memories we try to forget, and the moments that feel too strange to explain.
The series lives in the Afro-Futuristic world of Playground Pastime, where time bends and truth hides in plain sight. The mysterious record store at the center of the story is a mirror, an echo, and perhaps even a force guiding these characters to confront who they are, and who they were always meant to be.
Through short, cinematic episodes, The B-Side invites viewers to slow down, lean in, and ask: What if the message you’ve been avoiding has been playing all along?
