Inspiration

Definitely wanted to do something with AI, and OpenAI was too relevant not to be included. Some friends and I thought how cool it would be to attach a face to OpenAI's ChatGPT!

What it does

It converses with you with whatever question you have; Le Frog will try his best to give you advice, though he has a short memory so don't expect him to remember your last questions. He lives for the present.

How we built it

I utilized OpenAI's ChatGPT and various Python libraries to allow Le Frog to respond, talk, and show himself.

Challenges we ran into

I went about figuring out how to use Python libraries in varying locations on my laptop, as well as how to communicate with OpenAI using the API keys.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am really proud of just getting a finished product: each goal I wanted to do had a barrier associated with it, and each consistent result felt great to know I got this far.

What we learned

AI is really powerful, and some responses feel personalized due to certain conditions we included in the request to OpenAI. Python also has many libraries I was happy to know existed conveniently so the project could progress naturally without many 3rd-party programs.

What's next for The Amazing Frog Butler, Le Frog!

Who knows? Perhaps a recorded, iterative history of the user's interactions can be saved and included so Le Frog can keep a conversation! Maybe even to give him a more fitting voice of a butler or frog, and try to let him mouth his words instead of being a muppet.
