The AIBODEGA

The AIBODEGA is a marketplace for AI-powered applications, allowing developers to share and monetize their AI creations while providing users with a curated selection of high-quality AI tools & inspo.

Building the AIBodega began with a question: What if discovering AI apps, inspiration, design all felt as creative as using them?

Instead of another generic app grid, we created “AI Instagram for indie devs.”
It puts indie creators first — not categories. And gives solo hackers the same viral potential as social creators. What if Nerds were the one's going viral every day?

We built it fully with Bolt, live in public, integrating Supabase, Stripe, and AI tooling into a fast, beautiful, swipeable experience.

What it does

AI Bodega is a marketplace for AI-powered applications. It lets indie developers:

  • Share and monetize their tools (In a verifiable manner using *Algorand)
  • Monetize products and get verifiable instant feedback
  • Track installs, likes, and feedback
  • Creates a social community around developers and users of the platform *Developed, In Production scheduled for the next release

It lets users:

  • Swipe through a scroll-style feed
  • Preview apps instantly via modals
  • React socially via likes, bookmarks, and comments
  • Get AI recommendations based on usage
  • Make in App purchases of tools, designs, and inspo

How we built it

  • ⚡️ Frontend: React + App Router (via Bolt.new)
  • 🌍 Hosting: Netlify (aibodega.store)
  • 🧠 Backend: Supabase (Postgres + Auth + Storage)
  • 🔒 Auth: GitHub login for devs
  • 💸 Payments: Stripe + RevenueCat planned
  • 🤖 AI: Vibe Score API + Discovery Bot

Challenges we ran into

  • Supabase edge case errors (e.g., 300s on joins)
  • Preview modal routing edge cases
  • Preventing duplicate reviews
  • Polishing swipe feed animations in Bolt
  • Stitching Stripe test mode with app gating
  • Bolt glitches which consumed millions of tokens before we were able to make the fix
  • Worklife balance: with young children at home and multiple cases of cancer, there were several personal challenges as well balancing it all

  • The value of treating indie devs like creators
  • UI-driven discovery beats traditional app stores
  • Bolt’s limitations are also its creative fuel
  • Getting creative with all the AI Tools out there

  • Launching the AI Wrapping Tool
  • Vibe Score leaderboards
  • iOS TestFlight (when needed)
  • Putting the assets on the Blockchain to make AI track, trace, and verify ownership and authenticity
