Inspiration

Blockchain technology, especially De-Fi, brings true financial freedom to the world.

What it does

The2ndPlanet (T2P) aims to enhance such freedom by turning metaverse into De-Fi, Game-Fi and Guild-Fi services, with the help of Serum, Wormhole & Terra.

How we built it

  1. T2P allows landowner to choose the official chain and crypto-currency for each piece of land, to bootstrap large amounts of liquidity and a vast player base. Those coins include ETH, SOL, BSC, Matic, Terra, Avax and USDT;

  2. Player Owned Assets mean that players can buy/sell and even transfer these assets from one game to another. Players who purchase in-game NFT (pets, equipment, wearable or other assets) or withdraw the in-game earnings need a cross chain swap. Wormhole provides a cross chains bridge for those tokens and NFTs.

  3. T2P enables in-game token offering (listed on a build-in DEX) for any mini-game with a monthly income of more than US$50k, any Kingdom or guild with more than 200 members. Serum has a cross-chain DEX, stablecoins, wrapped coins, orderbooks, and the ability to create custom financial products, supporting T2P service 4 & 5.

Challenges we ran into

Time Management; Inadequate skills of team members; some of Wormhole APIs are not public yet;

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. The2ndPlanet has the ability to run on relatively low-powered smart phones and PCs.
  2. The openness of the platform and the ability to jump easily between chains.

What's next for The 2nd Planet

  1. T2P plans to further develop SerumUSD into a stablecoin backed by Multi Collateral Pool (MCP) and make it suitable for cross chain payments or as a collateral instrument.

  2. By running node servers, users can collectively secure the proper functioning of the T2P Game Engine and cross-chain transactions. This pattern ensures that T2P is a Distributed Open Metaverse not owned by a single company and T2P will not be shut down due to any individual decision.
