What it does
We made an educational trivia game web app called That Costs What about healthcare costs. It compares the prices of healthcare goods and services in the US and other countries. Our web app is responsively designed to work on both mobile and desktop.
How I built it
We made our web app using React. Our team had previous experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript but no experience with React.
Challenges I ran into
We were all brand new to React. We ran into problems trying to figure out how to make pop-up boxes.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We're proud that we were able to make a functional, responsive app using a new technology.
What I learned
We learned the benefits of React over basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript and how to make a basic webpage using React.
What's next for That Costs What?
Given more time we would create custom pop-up boxes for answers that include graphs comparing healthcare costs from a vide array of countries. We would also have the buttons change color to gray out if you click the wrong answer or turn green if you click a correct answer.
