About the Project: ThalaConnect

Inspiration:
We saw the urgent blood shortage faced by Thalassemia patients and wanted to make blood donation easy and reliable.

What We Learned:
Motivation and convenience are key drivers for blood donation; tech solutions must focus on making giving simple, trusted, and rewarding.

How We Built It:
ThalaConnect uses AI for real-time donor-patient matching, sends WhatsApp/app alerts, and maps micro-donation points—while ensuring user privacy and easy integration with existing systems.

Challenges:
Our main hurdles were achieving high AI accuracy, connecting with old hospital IT systems, protecting user data, and reaching people with limited digital access.
