Inspiration The idea for Thakaa came from noticing how students often lose focus during lectures and how teachers struggle to find engaging practice material. I wanted to create something that transforms passive classrooms into active, game-like learning spaces.

What I Learned In researching this idea, I discovered how powerful gamification can be in education—boosting motivation, collaboration, and learning outcomes. I also learned about the gaps in existing tools like Kahoot and Socrative, which inspired me to design something more adaptable and AI-driven.

Vision for Building It The plan is to start with a web-based platform where teachers can run team-based competitions in class, while students can also practice independently. Later, the vision is to expand into a mobile app for students, with online competitions and multiplayer game modes.

Challenges Ahead I expect challenges in ensuring teachers find it simple to use, while still offering students fun and meaningful engagement. Another challenge is balancing AI-generated content with teacher-contributed questions to maintain quality and accuracy. Scaling from classroom to wider use will also require careful technical and design planning.
