The main idea behind the application is to allow users to take a picture and for a caption to be automatically generated depending on what's happening in the picture.

The idea originally spawned when Kurt Lee was talking about a Twitter Bot "out-tweeting" him in a previous hackathon, and I decided that I would want to use twitter. I mainly wanted to generate a caption from the image which was captured so that less time is spent on figuring out a good caption to go with the image. My friends who helped flesh out the idea, introduced the idea of face recognition. This element then solidified what was to be the main element of the application.

This application is aimed at those who use a lot of social media and take a lot of photographs, currently on Twitter only.

So after 14 hours of hacking, the application was created and the prototype was complete. I am happy with the facial recognition and how the program can recognise someone who it has already remembered without having to reenter their name. A future goal for the app is to port it to mobile and allow users to take it on-the-go so that they can take more images without wasting time on creating a caption.
