WE HAD LOTS OF FUN AND ITS MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Texting is a stressful experience and we think people are not using the SMS platform at it's maximum capacity. Instead of reading a boring line of text, we'd rather hear it played.
What it does
Our Android application uses a complex series of conversions to take the incoming text message and play it as a peaceful song.
How I built it
I built it using Firebase, JFugue and Java.
Challenges I ran into
I realized Android doesn't officially support MIDI so we had to complete the project in theory and then we found an open source alternative.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud of making an efficient Android application that can convert a string to music!
What I learned
I learned how to make my apps look better using XML and how to use Firebase to manage all my data.
During this hackathon my partner and I started multiple projects, one of which was "Scale4Everything", another Android application which will give you random facts using fruits as their scale. Example: "The CN Tower is x amount of oranges tall" Another application was Dank Memes. This application lets you flip through many funny pictures from a stack.
