Text behind media

I built an complete SaaS tool with a single prompt. An application that lets users add text behind the subjects in images and videos using Tensorflow and Bodypix for free.

Inspiration

Being a photographer, I deal with photos and videos, posting these photos and videos on social media handles, One feature that always gives the photos an premium look is adding text behind the subject as an overlay. I have used Adobe Photoshop earlier to mask the entire image and subject and then add the text behind the subject, which soon became time consuming. So I have started using an tool textbehindimage.com to process the images, but for video there is no such tool. Then I have started building the application which can process both image and video and add text as an overlay and behind the subject

What it does

Now the user can upload a image or video, and model will process the media and extracts the subject from the background, so user can add any text as an overlay between subject and the background without loosing any quality. User can move the text position, choose from a range of fonts, add gradient effects to fonts, select font presets, add text shadow effects and more.

How we built it

I have used bolt to ideate and build the entire application, but after building the application I gave the repository link to Claude and asked it to be a senior AI prompt engineer and provide me a single prompt to replicate the entire project without losing functionality, but with a single prompt and the application was built successfully. I have used react, vite, tensorflow and bodbypix as my text stack.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Now the application is free to use, so far the application have been used by 220+ people, reached more than 3000 people in just two days, which shows the need of the application

What we learned

We realised that ultimately software was introduced to help individuals and businesses grow, and the knowledge barrier has been erased completely, now it's just the taste and agency of the people to build applications that can truly help other people and businesses grow

What's next for Text behind media

I received a good feedback from the users, and my next immediate plan was to generate auto tagline based on the image and add it as an overlay behind the subject, they can see 4-5 previews with different tag lines and font effects.
