Text Apps

Inspiration

The challenges I face every day as a student inspire me. I want things like grammar checkers and essay editors for school so it will make my life easier. The ones online often ask to pay and these are extremely annoying. My apps are as efficient as the ones online and are free and easy to use. Checking sources will also be much easier with the fake news classifier tool.

What it does

• News Classifier: Classify news as real or fake, given text or PDF input
• Grammar Checker: Correct grammatical errors in inputted text or PDF
• Essay Scorer: Scores essay based on a variety of factors, given PDF or text input ## How we built it Researching models online was a first and important step as that would be the basis of that app. We built it by using hugging-face models and integrated it into Streamlit ## Challenges I ran into Integrating the models into Streamlit was challenging since I had to use two separate libraries and think of a way to merge them together ## Accomplishments that I am proud that is it is easy to use and accessible for anyone with those needs.
