Inspiration

We wanted to look at the relationship between education funding and high school graduation.

What it does

Plainly shows the relationship for public school districts and campuses across Texas between various education metrics like spending, graduation, and disciplinary rates.

How we built it

Google Data Studio

Challenges we ran into

Funding information at the campus level is only accessible through Microsoft Access tables and we couldn't extract it all in time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We went through quite a bit of Texas Education Agency and higher ed data to pull this together.

What we learned

There are some major outliers across the state when you plot these various metrics.
