Get ready to play an arcade style block puzzle game in an intergalactic environment!
Handle random Tetrominos (shapes composed of four squares) which are falling down the playing field. The objective of the game is to manipulate these Tetrominos, by moving each one sideways and rotating it by 90 degree, with the aim of creating a horizontal line of ten blocks without gaps. This line will then disappear and any block above the deleted line will fall down to free up the playing field. Meanwhile random squares will heat up until they explode producing gaps in your builded structure. Your only way to stop them detonate is to focus them with your vision.
Notice: Gamepad required (at the current stage Gear VR touchpad is only roughly implemented)
The old school arcade soundtrack is brought to you by dragline. Be prepared for some chippy, lofi, 8bit, 16bit, retro inspired fun stuff.
How I built it
Using the Unity 3D Engine, a nice online community, a lot of spare time, coffee and a lot of patience from my family.
Challenges I ran into
Mobile device performance limitations (!), bugs, wrong assumptions (many).
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
What I learned
VR Development Skills +1
What's next for Cubum
I would really like to give the journey a story. A travel from planet to planet or a time travel scenario would come into my mind.
