Inspiration.... I tried an app called Food Karma when I was in London in February. I treated me and my dad to delicious food local businesses had allocated as overstock. Dad said there's an app in Bristol and it turns out there was.

What it does..... I mystery shopper the consumer experience including availability of food listed, quality and niggling terms of service.

How I built it...... I sent ALOT of user experience notifications to the app customer experience team. About common glitches.

Challenges I ran into..... Whilst it was still 'allowed' to use Food waste apps the challenges were; takeaways which cancelled your order as you arrived, orders which were so substandard it wasn't worth the journey to fetch them and differing opinions on whether customers should arrive with their container or have a takeaway box provided by the restaurant.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of..... I fed myself, my girlfriend and my dad at different times with decent food including hot meals and variety of restaurant settings. I managed to avoid the 'bunfight' to panic buy pre-lockdown and even Mr Trump has praised Food waste app networking.

What I learned....after such an overwhelming sense of anxiety about COV-19 I created a PDF of my research for Too Good To Go team and agreed to temporarily discontinue my personal use of this type of app.

What's next for Testing the Food Waste app functionality pre lockdown.....

If it had plenty of potential pre-lockdown then once things are running in our local communities it could be a great time to relaunch the food waste app especially for business owners who want to commit to it and gain income through it.
