Hackathon Hero

Inspiration

I wanted to create a silly (sh!t) meta, hackathon-themed game to explore and understand the power of Bolt.

What it does

The clicker game captures the user's attention with enticing graphics and progression mechanics, causing to want to keep clicking and upgrading to "watch the number go up".

How we built it

The app was built entirely using Bolt with an integration with Supabase. The Devvit integration was built using Bolt as well. It was incredibly easy to put together.

Challenges we ran into

Devvit was not straightforward to integrate to. I originally aimed to put the entire game on Reddit, but decided to scale back that feature.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating something with Bolt in a very short amount of time.

What's next for Hackathon Hero

A complete integration with the subreddit and Devvit is a good next step.
