Inspiration
We were driven by the goal of democratizing data. We recognized that while valuable information exists, it's often locked away in complex formats or requires technical expertise to interpret.
What it does
Our new app connects Boston-area students with the city's diverse culinary scene. It features data-driven insights, such as a pie chart visualizing the community's favorite restaurants. The app also provides a personalized experience, allowing users to save their own list of favorites and rate the restaurants they visit.
How we built it
We built it using vite, a react framework for the front end and we used a javaScript backend to hold all usernames and password along with user preferences
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many bumps, such as the design, none of us had experience with front end development, so we has to improvise a lot.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What we are proud of is the api implementation of the map.
What we learned
We learned that web development is not a fast occurrence, it takes time, patience, and precision.
What's next for Terrier Taste
We want to upscale it, opening it to many other cities, not just Boston.
