We were inspired to do this project after researching the degradation of our soil and the negative effect it has on agriculture and the environment. Our program observes the effects of Area, Crop, Pesticides, Temperature, and Rainfall on Crop Yield using AI models. We built the models using machine learning through Google Colab. We ran into challenges at the beginning mostly due to limited accuracy and errors but they were fixed through continuous testing and collaborative programming. We are proud that our models have excellent accuracy now at 94% and 98% respectively. We learned how to use machine learning to make positive changes in society. TerraSmart can be further developed to help our soil.
