About the Project
TerraSight AI is an AI-powered environmental intelligence platform designed to analyze satellite imagery alongside weather data and geological reports to identify environmental risks and monitor changes on Earth.
Traditional environmental monitoring often relies on analyzing satellite images and environmental reports separately. TerraSight AI aims to bring these different sources of information together to provide a more comprehensive understanding of environmental conditions.
Our Solution
Our platform combines two major data sources:
- Satellite Imagery: Helps analyze vegetation, forest coverage, burned areas, and changes in land use.
- Weather and Geological Reports: Provide contextual information such as temperature, rainfall, wind conditions, and relevant geological factors.
By combining insights from both sources, the system aims to support three key applications:
🔥 Wildfire Risk Analysis: Identify environmental conditions that may indicate an increased risk of wildfires.
🌳 Deforestation Monitoring: Analyze vegetation and forest-cover changes to help identify potential deforestation.
🏙️ Urban Expansion Monitoring: Compare land-use patterns over time to observe urban growth and changes in built-up areas.
How It Works
- The user selects or uploads satellite imagery.
- The user provides a weather report or relevant geological information.
- AI models analyze the imagery and extract relevant information from the reports.
- The system combines the extracted information to assess environmental conditions.
- The dashboard presents the analysis, visual indicators, risk assessments, and AI-generated explanations.

Our goal is to make satellite-based environmental analysis more accessible, understandable, and useful through an intuitive dashboard that brings complex data together in one place.
