When I first came to the U.S., understanding UMD SHIP insurance was genuinely overwhelming. Even when I was sick, I struggled to figure out simple but important things like how much I’d pay for urgent care vs the ER, what my copay was, how to book appointments, and what campus resources were available. It often took days or even weeks of calls and searching for answers. That experience made me realize many students, especially international students, face the same confusion and stress. We built TerpHealth Copilot to make healthcare easier for all Terps by bringing costs, care options, and campus wellness resources into one simple AI-powered navigator.
