Terminal Casino

Inspiration

Like everyone this pandemic had bored us too , so we wanted to create a project in which we can target this specific challenge on how to entertain the user for some time. We realized that the world famous casinos were shutdown and we thought why not replicate the experience in a terminal itself and hence the idea of Terminal Casino was born

What it does

It consists of some of the worlds popular Casino Games including the likes of Blackjack and Roulette Wheel and a new game known as Seven Up & Seven Down

How we built it

The project is completely build in python language without the use of any API or GUI. All that is required is an IDE and the source code to run the game on any laptop via the IDE's terminal.

Challenges we ran into

While brainstorming for ideas for the Hackathon was quite a big challenge right at the start as the limitation of a non API or GUI game required us to go down to the very basics of the terminal in order to make a functioning project. Once we had decided on the project the next main challenge we faced was how to utilize the basics of python efficiently to provide a good user experience which required us to dig deeper into the logic process in order to fine tune the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how we managed to tackle one of the leading problems regarding boredom in this pandemic by creating a Casino based game which will allow the user to destress while at the same time feeling the thrill of actual casinos

What we learned

We learned quite a bit through this Hackathon as it caused us to dig deeper into the basics of the python language and get familiar which concepts that are not used in mainstream coding in order to improve user experience and build a game for the people.

What's next for Terminal Casino

Now that the game is ready , we look forward to the users trying it out and letting us know how was their experience with it and how has this game helped them!
