💖 Inspiration

This project was born from deep emotional reflection on the eternal bond between mother and child. The poem was written as a lyrical tribute to my own mother and to all mothers whose love never fades. It is a song of gratitude, tenderness, and timeless connection.

🧠 What I Learned

Through this project, I explored how AI tools can help transform poetic emotion into immersive audiovisual experiences. I learned to balance technical precision with emotional depth, and how to preserve authenticity while working with generative technologies.

🛠️ How I Built It

• Lyrics & Poem Personally written in Ukrainian. This is original poetry, composed by me from deep emotional and mystical reflection. No part of the text was AI-generated - it is my own heartfelt tribute to my mother and all mothers.

• Music & Voice: Composed and voiced using AI tools (Suno)

• Visuals: Generated with AI video tools (Hailuo AI Kling AI and edited manually for rhythm and resonance (CapCut)

The song was generated using Suno v4.5 with “dark indie male voice” settings, combining emotional depth with indie-rock instrumentation. The glowing heart symbolizes the warmth and tenderness of the tribute to motherhood.

One of the most emotionally significant scenes in the video shows a silver-haired mother gazing into a mirror. I wanted to portray her inner journey — from feeling the loss of youth to rediscovering her timeless essence. I initially tried generating a matching face with AI, but it lacked the emotional depth I needed. So I selected a previously created face from my earlier work and manually replaced the original in a mirror scene.

The reflection is symbolic: at first, she sees youth as something lost, but as she looks deeper, she realizes that her soul — her warmth, strength, and love — has never changed. This moment of acceptance and joy is central to the message of the song: that true beauty and presence live within us, beyond time.

One of the most intimate scenes in the video features a heartfelt conversation between a mother and her daughter. To maintain emotional continuity and visual integrity, I used AI face swapping for the second character. This moment captures the vulnerability, connection, and quiet power of a mother’s love. The lighting, facial expressions, and setting were carefully chosen to evoke warmth and realism, while face swapping allowed me to maintain consistency and deepen the emotional impact.

One of the most symbolic transitions in the video occurs between the ICU scene and the school prom. As the child closes his eyes, the music fades and a flatline sound from a hospital monitor is heard — a moment of silence, tension, and emotional weight.

But this sound does not mark physical death. Instead, it becomes a metaphor for the end of childhood. The next scene reveals the boy, now grown, attending his graduation prom, with his mother present. The emotional shift is reinforced by the lyrics: “It seemed childhood would last forever, and mother would always be young in our eyes… but the years flew by, and none of us noticed.”

This moment captures the bittersweet passage of time — the quiet loss of innocence, the transformation of roles, and the enduring presence of maternal love. The sound design and visual cut were crafted to evoke both grief and celebration, reminding us that every ending carries a beginning.

ICU Scene – AI Face Replacement for Emotional Continuity In this tender moment, I replaced the mother’s face using AI tools to match the emotional tone of the scene. The lighting, gesture, and expression were carefully refined to convey warmth, pain, and unconditional love as she holds her son’s hand in the intensive care unit.

The graduation ball scene was initially created using Minimax Hailuo , which provided a strong visual foundation. I loved the setting — the lighting, the elegance, the emotional tone — but the mother’s face didn’t reflect the feeling I needed.

To resolve this, I extracted a 5-second segment and used Kling AI to replace the mother’s face with one that matched my earlier visual narrative. After the replacement, I continued generating the scene in Kling to maintain consistency and emotional flow.

This process reflects how I use AI not just for generation, but for intentional storytelling — shaping each detail to align with the emotional truth of the project.

🌍 Subtitles

Created in English to make the message accessible to international audiences. I personally translated the original Ukrainian poem into English, carefully preserving its rhythm, emotional tone, and poetic meaning. Each phrase was chosen with attention to lyrical flow, so that the subtitles reflect not only the content, but also the soul of the original verse.
