Inspiration
We were inspired by Morgan & Morgan's AI Legal Tender Challenge and wanted to create an AI-powered assistant that would parse legal documents and streamline the appropriate information into the hands of the professionals fast, conveniently, and without the clutter and confusion plaguing most of the bookkeeping process for legal firms.
What it does
The application first queries the user for employee login information, then brings you to the main interface where you can create a new case file, upload documentation, which is parsed by the Gemini API, giving you the answers you require, providing suggested actions, and placing it in an embedded calendar.
How we built it
Using AI tools, like Replit and Gemini API, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS code.
Challenges we ran into
Design philosophy, learning new technologies, and using TypeScript: it's hard to isolate issues in a large-scale operation like an application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Incorporating new AI elements into an app for the first time, team building exercises, long and fulfilling brainstorming sessions, and overcoming adversity.
What we learned
New incorporation of AI elements we've never used before, team-building for projects outside of coursework, and utilizing team members' specific skills and expertise.
What's next for Tender - AI Legal Assistant for Plaintiff Legal Teams
Isolating functionalities within databases, voice recognition software, and more complex sorting of documents.
