Inspiration
The inspiration for Tenant Buddy comes from my own experience dealing with a landlord in Italy, where navigating the legal process felt overwhelming and confusing. This sparked a shared belief in our team: everyone deserves equal access to housing rights, regardless of background or language barriers. We’re passionate about making legal assistance more accessible and empowering tenants to stand up for their rights effectively.
What it does
Tenant Buddy uses four specialized AI agents to simplify tenant-lawyer interactions. It collects information, interprets it, categorizes it, and compares cases to past outcomes, ensuring tenants receive accurate and prompt guidance.
How we built it
We developed Tenant Buddy by integrating AI models into our system, each designed for specific tasks like user guidance, keyword identification, and case comparison. This required a lot of collaboration and iteration.
Challenges we ran into
Being new to integrating AI technology, we faced hurdles in designing an efficient and reliable system. Understanding how different AI agents interact and ensuring accurate data interpretation were particularly tough challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud to have developed a working product addressing an issue we care deeply about. Seeing Tenant Buddy come to life and provide meaningful support to tenants is incredibly rewarding.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate AI in practical applications, using different agents to work together seamlessly. It was a journey of understanding how to optimize our models for accuracy and efficiency.
What's next for Tenant Buddy
We’re excited about the possibility of advancing this project further by partnering with Community Legal Services. With their input, we can refine our AI models and create even more impact, ensuring that tenants everywhere have the support they need to fight for their rights.
