Inspiration
Inspired by (or a bit dejected by haha) how difficult the technical interview landscape is now a days. I don't have time all day to study and grind leetcode. I wanted a more focused way to study: learn the patterns and techniques that show up across problems instead of memorizing individual solutions.
What it does
Ten Cards helps you practice those patterns in short sessions, whenever you have a few free minutes, whether you’re on the bus, between classes, or somewhere else. It tracks the areas where you need more practice and gradually brings those questions back. It also includes visual examples for people who, like me, learn best through diagrams.
How we built it
This was my first time building an iOS app, and I loved the process! I used AI tools to help with development while shaping the product and design direction myself.
Challenges we ran into
As beta users started using the app, I needed a better way to monitor crashes and trace issues. Building a reliable process to spot problems, triage them, and get fixes out became an important part of shipping the product.
Accomplishments we’re proud of
I’m proud of the reliability work behind the app, especially the checks that code goes through before it reaches users. AI-assisted coding can speed things up, but it still needs careful review. I built a workflow that lets me move quickly while adding safeguards around the backend.
What we learned
I learned a lot about everything that goes into shipping an app, including working with PostgreSQL and adding in-app purchases. RevenueCat’s docs made the purchase setup and lifecycle much easier to understand and manage.
What’s next for Ten Cards: Coding Interviews
We’re continuing to improve the study experience, add useful practice content, and make it easier for people to build strong problem-solving habits in the time they have!
