From high school, college, to life beyond guided studies, our lives are just getting busier and busier with all the opportunities to learn, people to meet, and things to explore. This was the double-edged gift bought by technology. Our lives are now like a tempest, but with Tempus, we can now remain in control and reap the bounty of living life to the fullest.

What it does

Tempus is a web app that integrates the extensive utilities of excel sheets and the comprehensive visuals of Trello, the project management application, to facilitate quick, organized planning of everything in the user's life in as much detail as the user prefers. It takes a csv form of a spreadsheet that has the information task name, deadline, and descriptions, then automatically sorts all of the entered details based on the deadlines for each task and creates cards on Trello for weekly tasks.

How we built it

We used JavaScript and HTML to code the sections that processed the uploaded csv files and parsed them in order to sort them into nested arrays based on the deadline week. We used the Trello API and their client.js library written in CoffeeScript to interact with Trello. The front end of the website was written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned how to use Git! And how to use APIs in our projects.

What's next for Tempus

Text integration with Trello.
