TempoMate

Inspiration

As a person with ADHD it is very difficult for me to be able to keep up with tasks and nitpickingly and tediously go through every single task and place it into my calendar. our friends and I were trying to come up with different ideas on what can we do to improve the conveniences for people with ADHD or Autism and we never really thought about calendar tracking until our calculus 2 midterm came up in which we had to place in multiple study sessions into our calendar with constant reminders just to make sure that we get through and remember but going through each one was hard. and that's how we came up with the idea of our app, TempoMate.

What it does

Template is a task tracking and calendar based app that helps you to be able to keep track of your tasks and your sessions hassle free with a target audience being people who have difficulty of tracking their on their tasks or people with ADHD or Autism, the minimalist look of the app brings in the the user with either a light or dark theme to start. With the power of Gemini 3 you can just speak your tasks you have to do for the day, week or month and Gemini 3 will automatically place it into your calendar without you having to touch a single thing. and if it makes any mistakes you could easily correct it with a simple edit button and you can bring your tasks into Google Calendar via the press of a button. Need a break from the outside world or just need to calm down you can access our game what's that button and nice clicking base game where your goal is to get as many clicks as you can, or our Zen mode where you can take time to just focus on yourself and controlling your thoughts with the breathing exercises and the music that plays in the background it will help you as much as you can to soothe down. along the side of the calendar implication we've also integrated a chatbot to be able to talk to you about the habits or the tasks that you missed and to be able to help you correct those bad habits at the same time being able to readjust your schedule and tasks all without having to actually edit each task manually.

How we built it

Using Google AI Studio and Google Cloud Run, Gemini 3 Pro has been a very strong tool with aiding Us in creating these apps that we've been thinking about for a long time. With languages like HTML, CSS, typescript and more including the help from Google AI Studio, building our app was nearly hassle free.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest part was being able to place all of our new Concepts ideas and small fixes into one giant projects without colliding any of our other code at the same time which has resulted in a lot of changes, a lot of edits and a lot of late nights trying to make sure everything works.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Seeing other people actually enjoying our application outside of our friend group was a Monumental thing to see for the first time from people complimenting on the app design to people saying how the chat bot was incredibly useful at times when we just needed to calm down it was one of the best feelings that all of us have felt in a long time.

What we learned

During our time creating this app, we have learned how to implement AI into our programming life as well as being able to use softwares such as Google Cloud console as well as Google AI Studio, but the biggest thing was being able to learn and understand on how to effectively and ethically implements AI into our daily lives without making it a crutch but instead as a tool.

What's next for TempoMate

The future of our app is looking into seeking investors and to be able to bring our application into phones via their application stores as well as bringing it into an official website with a fully-encrypted server.
