Inspiration

We wanted to connect people who want to help with people that need help.

What it does

The website lists organizations that help other people, and allows a donator to search and select one to donate to.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, JavaScript to make the website and deployed it using Google's Firebase.

Challenges we ran into

Our team is located in different time zones, so connecting together to work on the project had some difficulties.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully hosted a website using a well-known service like Google Firebase and had nice visual features for the website.

What we learned

We learned why popular development services like Google Cloud Platform's are well-approved and hope to keep exploring them in the future.

What's next for OrgHelp

OrgHelp can be improved by trying to automate the addition of organizations in the system and having a "featuring" system for organizations that are in a critical mission. We also want to integrate a more detailed search function in case a person wants to help something that is close to them.
