Inspiration

As a social media marketer, I get to deal with a lot of brand marketing challenges, many of which I try to source solutions for or outsource eventually, but this was one I couldn't get an outsourced approach to resolving. Many brands have this unique issue of keeping constant contact with their customer base and users generally without having to break the bank. This pain point was the inspiration that led me deep into research. I spent many nights researching, writing, and trying to perfect how this solution can meet the needs of any small business in Nigeria and Africa.

What it does

Temote is an AI-powered call center agency. What it does is a user (brand) assigns an AI call agent to handle calls, both inbound and outbound, to their customer base, either with the motive of inquiries, follow-up on sales, or to reengage and keep contact for future sales, depending on the campaign objective of the user on Temote.

How we built it

The building process was a bit new and strange, as we haven't built anything of this nature before, so we had to learn and practice with what we were building.

Challenges we ran into

The first challenge was with the API integration, then payment for the domain and other packages, as most weren't accepting Nigerian card details, and then we ran out of tokens. My teammate had to use his account for us to finish up the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building the Temote platform with just a little support (mostly observatory supports) is a huge accomplishment, and we are super excited for what Temote.online will do for the economy of Nigeria and Africa.

What we learned

We learned to push, and when things seem hard, it meant progress was happening. This project has opened an opportunity to build someone's site for them and to be paid. It was hard, mostly because around the time I was going to start, my fiancée broke up with me, and this took a huge toll on me. I was and still am emotionally broken, but I had to channel all that into making sure Temote works.

What's next for Temote.online

This is a prototype version; the next stage is to canvass for funding to enable us to purchase the needed resources and tokens to fully bring Temote.online to life and to the many businesses that will be needing our services.
