Most people do not need a giant relationship dashboard. They need one careful pause before sending the next message. Tells Lite is built for that pause: the moment when a sentence, dating profile, or reply keeps looping in your head and you want a clearer read before you make it worse.

Tells Lite turns a stuck piece of text into short, usable reads:

  • what is literally said
  • what is missing
  • what pressure or ambiguity may be present
  • what not to over-read
  • three calmer replies to test: warm, firm, concise
  • private notes and local history

It is not therapy, advice, or a verdict. It is a text-first scratchpad for slowing down hard communication.

Inspiration

We built Tells Lite around an ordinary but emotionally expensive moment: someone sends a message, profile, or reply that is hard to read, and the next answer matters. Instead of turning that into a noisy dashboard, we kept the product text-first and small enough to use in the exact moment of hesitation.

What it does

The app reads a pasted message, profile, or draft reply and breaks it into a literal read, possible unsaid layer, pressure or avoidance signals, over-reading guardrails, and safer reply options. It also lets the user keep private notes and move between a few everyday demo cases without creating an account.

How we built it

The app was built and published in MeDo as a lightweight public web app. We used MeDo to generate and iterate the application shell, then shaped the product around a focused text-analysis flow: three everyday scenarios, browser-local state, clear output sections, and a mobile-first interface. The official app runs on MeDo's public appmedo URL; the vøiddo-hosted page is only supporting material.

What makes it different

Tells Lite avoids avatars, personality labels, and noisy relationship dashboards. The product keeps the user close to the original text and helps them answer more calmly without pretending to know the full truth.

What's next

Next steps are more languages, richer local history labels, and user-controlled tone modes for reply drafting.
