Digital transformation is a top-3 reason why people feel frustrated. Whenever they face a computer-related problem like issues with formatting or printer not working, they tend to reach out to people who are the most computer-literate among colleagues, the so called 'power-users'. All three of us have been those guys. We decided to to look into this issue and after conducting a survey on more than 2000 people discovered that users on average spend 8 hours every month trying to resolve computer related problems. Thus tella was born with a single goal - reduce the amount spent in confusion and increase the amount of knowledge in organisations.
What it does
Tella can be described in three simple steps : 1. Click a button, 2. Type in your problem, 3. Get help. We ensure tella's simplicity using our M^3 framework. We map employee skills using our skill maps and AI enhanced evolutionary algorithm. We match questions with relevant experts using our proprietary algorithm. We motivate employees through gamification, leaderboards and appreciation newsletters.

Neither of us is a developer so the entire journey has been a wonderful challenge and we have learnt an incredible amount of new information, as well as new ways of thinking and approaching problems.

What we learned
First of all, we have learnt to code, which is our biggest success of the entire experience. During the hackathon we have learnt a lot about building pitchdecks and presentation of the product. We appreciate valuable feedback provided by our mentors.
What's next for tella
We plan to complete our minimum viable product by the end of the year and have a product ready for the pilot testing programme by March 20201. We will build case studies based on our pilots, thus gaining our first paying customers in late 2021 and breaking even in 2022.
