In today’s digital age, deepfakes, AI-generated images, and fake news have become serious threats to truth and trust online. With AI-generated media becoming more realistic, distinguishing between real and manipulated content has become increasingly difficult. Deepfakes can be used for malicious purposes, from spreading misinformation and political propaganda to financial fraud and identity theft. Similarly, fake news manipulates public perception, fuels social divisions, and erodes trust in legitimate sources. The rapid spread of misinformation, amplified by social media, makes it crucial to have tools that help verify the authenticity of content. Our project addresses this challenge by developing a web application that detects deepfake images and videos, identifies AI-generated content, and fact-checks online information. Users can upload an image, and our system analyzes it to determine whether it has been manipulated or generated by AI. At the same time, our fact-checking module cross-references media with credible sources to provide context and verification. The goal was not just to create an AI-powered detection tool but to empower people with knowledge. By making deepfake detection, AI image identification, and fact-checking more accessible, we hope to reduce the impact of misinformation and restore confidence in digital content. While the fight against deepfakes and fake news is ongoing, this project is a step toward a more informed and responsible digital society. Inspired by the potential of AI Technology we decided to find different ways whereby AI works to curb online falsehood
