Inspiration

The Covid 19 pandemic yesterday had a very significant impact on the world of education. Included in the world of education. Yesterday's Covid pandemic brought a new culture where learning is carried out online. The effects of the pandemic are still being felt to this day, many students are lazy to enter the campus because yesterday's online learning time was too comfortable. From here we came up with the idea to make students start moving and have physical activities interactively by completing missions and then exchanging them for mineral water. which goals of this project make students able to start moving

What it does

So far, our application has been able to be used as a student helper application to start walking physical activities. The mission begins with scanning the Bus Stop barcode then you can start an adventure collecting Steps in which Steps will accumulate coins. To do step counting we use a step counter utilizing the gyro and axle motor in the smartphone. Along the way, you can also see 3d learning objects as well as learning infographics. After you go around campus to collect coins, you can take part in learning or practicum in class. Before and after practicum or class learning you can scan a barcode which will get 250 points. At the end of the lesson, you can exchange points for a bottle of mineral water.

How we built it

We made Telkom School AR use Corel draw to make designs, blender to edit 3D, and unity software to combine the assets.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge in making Telkom School AR is GPS. We even tried using 3 smartphones with different brands that support ARCORE, but getting an accurate location is very difficult. Several times our experiments were carried out immediately and several of our experiments appeared but did not stay in one place.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of the achievement of learning many things. Including we just found out there is AR Geo technology like Pokemon Go. It's a lot of fun for us even though it's a real headache at first. Moreover, this is our first project to use ARCORE to create multimarker objects. Whatever the result, we are very satisfied with our achievement in completing all of this.

What we learned

We learn so much. Starting from team management, project management, learning Unity for ARcore geo development, and step counting.

What's next for Telkom School AR

For further development, we will integrate it into the campus governance system which will automatically sync when logging in with student accounts. So that class schedules and barcode scans are guaranteed. In addition, the objects that appear will also be adjusted to the majors. As an initial project, we did propose a 3D Health object. But in the future, it can be adapted to majors such as the industrial engineering department which will bring up simulation objects of industrial tools and work safety, or the design department which will bring up 3d design and art
