We have attempted the Muse EEG headband to parse the p300 event related potential brain gesture, to allow paralyzed patients to communicate. This has previously only been done on fMRI and full EEG.
Event related potentials for paralyzed patients When someone wants to choose an option, and the option is flashed in front of them, their brain emits an event related potential. This brain response does not require movement, but does require the person to be able to use their eyes.
