Inspiration

Telehealth's mission to ensuring that even the poorest and most challenging areas of India would have access to a doctor's wisdom is what interested our team. The market for a AI Doctor looks really promising.

What it does

Our application is an AI that is pre-prompted to ask qualifying questions based on the patient's geographical location and symptoms.

How we built it

Web app, RAG, AI Agent We used Next.js Framework, Javascript along with Material UI to build our User Interface. We used OpenAI API along with pre-prompting and RAG(Retrieval Augmentation Generation) to constraint our Agent to only medical inquiries, this helps keep the flow of conversation aligned with the patient's best interests.

Challenges we ran into

Food was a luxury we couldn't afford haha, all jokes aside, we had a rocky start due to poor planning. As this is our first hackathon, we jumped right into it and while it had a promising start, putting everything together was a nightmare. We learned a lot about teamwork and thought long and hard on how to manage projects. Won't be coming so unprepared next time. We're taking the gold medal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to built a functioning Chatbot that actually does well in the roles assigned to it. Despite all the troubles from poor planning, we were able to put together TelehealthAI and work towards a solution to a real-world problem.

What we learned

We learned just how important it is to plan and discuss everyone's responsibility. Also holding each other accountable is a must. On the technical side, we learned just how important it is to start off with the Front End. By building a MVP, we can then divide tasks in a more efficient manner. Front End is super important, and with a strong Front End, our Back End can also shine.
