Inspiration

I have a teenager. I have no idea what he's talking about most of the time. I thought maybe he was broken and needed to be debugged. Then I realized, I just needed a translator.

What it does

Translate what they say to english, and what you say into... Whatever it is that they speak.

How we built it

One prompt challenge entry. I gave one prompt to Bolt with the main details and let it rip.

Challenges we ran into

The app worked straight away with no major issues. or additional prompts. Future revisions would be to exaggerate the teen-speak for comedic effect, and to put the direction tool at the top in mobile view.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It worked with one prompt, and is actually pretty cool. :)

What we learned

There are still things I would have tweaked after seeing it run again. With each prompt, I learn more about specificity, and how to give more thorough instructions.

What's next for Teenage Translator

As stated before, I would tweak the layout slightly, and exaggerate the teen speak. It might also be cool to add other "dialects," such as Old People, Hippie, Surfer, Skater, etc.
