Inspiration

I used to be in a dilemma when choosing my future career pathway after high school. I'm not sure what course I should pursue and what to do for a job in the future. So, this is my purpose to build a career coaching app for teenagers.

What it does

Teen Career Coach app will help high school or pre-u leavers to think through their career options by having them describe their interests, skills, values, and MBTI. It will then suggest some potential career paths and available universities for them to explore further.

How we built it

Teen Career Coach app is an AI app. It was built using a platform called PartyRock by AWS, which it is the easiest way to build and scale generative AI applications with foundation models.

Challenges we ran into

As a first-timer using the PartyRock platform, I had no idea how I should use the platform to build an app. Hence, I did some research on how to build an AI app using PartyRock, and tried to explore the features of the platform following the tutorial's guidance.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I managed to understand and play around with the features of PartyRock platform, and managed to come out with a Teen Career Coach app.

What we learned

I've learnt to build an AI app using the PartyRock platform, and from the official discord, I got a chance to explore many different apps by other participants. It was amazing!
