Inspiration
Mental health is a growing issue among our generation from family problems to work issues we all face mental battles on a daily. It's hard to often discuss our problems with close ones and affording therapy on a daily basis is a luxury we all can't afford. I personally find writing down my day and journaling my thoughts and experiences throughout the day really helps vent out my issues and deprive myself from all the feelings I was facing throughout the day and making a consensus on how my day really was. That's where the idea for Moodi came up.
What it does
Moodi is an electronic journaling website that lets users type out their feelings and AI makes a consensus on how their overall day was through mood analysis.
How we built it
I coded the user interface through TypeScript and Next.js app, , TypeScript, styled it in Tailwind CSS, and added AI elements through the Groq API.
Challenges we ran into
I'm a beginner in Hackathons and building personal projects so I was a little lost on where exactly to start but after mapping out my steps, it became clear on how to plan out my creation. My API also wasn't syncing with my frontend UI and after some debugging, I realized my key wasn't implemented properly so after that the code ran smoothly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting the code to run and submitting it on time. Joining this hackathon was a last-minute decision so getting everything done on time from scratch was something I'm proud of.
What we learned
How to connect APIs to Next.js apps.
What's next for TechWarrior
Adding more complex features and experimenting with AI and mental health resources.
